Beyond Brand: What’s Your Identity?
If someone were to ask you, who are you?, what would be your answer? Many attorneys would respond with, “I’m an attorney”, or perhaps a pitch about their professional brand. Does this, however, capture all that you value in yourself? It’s easy to get caught up in working diligently and taking pride in your career. What can get lost in that laudable focus, however, are the other whimsical, creative, adventurous, and charitable parts of you that make you unique and bring you joy.
Granted, sometimes time is limited. But we can all use the occasional reminder to have fun and connect with our passions—whether you have dazzling cooking skills, are a force of nature at your boxing gym or spin studio, or love to volunteer at an animal rescue. Not only will your outlets sustain your career, they will also make you happier with your life and identity.
